Dateline Shoreditch: XX Games Jam Starts Tonight!

The first ever all female games jam kicks off in a few hours! Funded by the DCRC and produced by the fantastic Debbie Rawlings from auroch digital, 24 women will be forming teams to design and upload a game by 7pm tomorrow night. Mind Candy have kindly loaned us their amazing space in the Tea Building in Shoreditch.

The jam is part of the london games festival and has been made possible through a collaboration with and support from Ada Lovelace day and UKIE. Prizes and refreshments have been sponsored by the folk at Playmob, and Connection Point Technology have provided help with accommodation for our participants. Jo Twist from UKIE, Martha Henson from Wellcome and Tomas Rawlings will be judging the submissions.

Check back next week for a full report, feedback from our participants and a link to the winning games. We hope this will be the first in a whole series of all female games jam event that showcase female creativity and technical skill.
