Systems and Layers (weekending 21012011)

This week some DCRC staff return to the studio from a successful panel session at MeCCSA 2011, having engaged the Media and Cultural Studies community in discussion around our Knowledge Transfer Fellowship concerning Pervasive Media.

We are delighted to announce that DCRC will host a visit from Adam Greenfield, author of the influential Everyware, in May. Adam and his partner Nurri Kim will give their innovative Systems/Layers 'walkshop' for thee first time in the UK. The event is scheduled for the 9th May. The 'walkshop' will take place in central Bristol, using the Pervasive Media Studio as a base. Please see our Events page for more information. We will also be shortly announcing an evening talk by Adam at the Watershed, also taking place on the 9th May. More information will be posted to this blog in due course.
