Tessa Ratuszynska (She/They) is an artist, producer and researcher living in Glasgow. They recently completed a practice-based PhD in embodied XR documentary ethics. Alongside their academic work, Tessa produces interactive, VR and MR experiences. Their work has been commissioned by Unlimited, StoryFutures, BBC and BFI and exhibited at Sheffield Doc Fest, Raindance IFF, Venice International Festival, and IDFA. Their creative projects share themes of sexuality, gender and queer identity and often employ forms of co-design with represented communities and contributors. Tessa is currently a research fellow at the University of the West of England (UWE) embedded within the Immersive Arts programme. In all their work Tessa is interested in audience access and care, and democratising XR production.
