Amber Mota is a PhD researcher at the Bridge Lab, University of the West of England. Her research explores emerging archival technologies and post-permanence alternatives for audio-visual preservation practice. She is interested in deconstructing technological solutionism and advocating for sustainable, equitable modes for archival praxis. Her work is informed by her professional experiences at the British Film Institute and EYE Filmmuseum, and by her master’s studies in the Preservation and Presentation of the Moving Image at the University of Amsterdam.
