David Green is an award-winning documentary maker, designer, technologist and researcher whose work to-date has focused on participation and interactive / immersive documentaries. His practice spans the fields of narrative/interaction/UX design and creative technology development. As part of the EPSRC-funded Virtual Realities Immersive Documentary Encounters project, he conducted primary research into the development, production and reception of immersive nonfiction.
David is especially interested in how digital technology can be used to help configure meaningful, ethical participation in creative nonfiction projects, especially those involving diverse publics, and people who self-identify as ‘non-technical’ and/or ‘not media-savvy’.
