Jack Lowe

Jack is a cultural geographer who designs place-based games: interactive, playful experiences that create a sense of place or engage with real-world locations.

Across formats including QR-code treasure hunts, narrative puzzle games, locative audiowalks, board games and interactive theatre, Jack’s work is all about curiosity and mindful engagement with the world around you.

He is the creator of Pin the Tale, an online, UK-wide, map-based game about connecting with the everyday, human stories that make places meaningful to us.

At UWE, Jack has played a central role in researching and evaluating two large creative R&D programmes, Bristol+Bath Creative R+D and Grounding Technologies.

Jack currently works as Knowledge Exchange Manager on the MyWorld project.
