Katie Davies is a visual media artist, filmmaker and Senior Lecturer in Media, Culture and Practice at UWE Bristol. Attracted by political transformations that dictate how society, territory, and political debate are controlled, her film works and installations expose the fine line between the telling of stories and the writing of history, questioning how and why the past is used as evidence for the present moment, in order to propose alternative relations between social, historical, and economic episodes.
