Rengin Gurel

Rengin is an interior architect and design researcher pursuing a practice-based PhD at the School of Arts within UWE Bristol. Rengin’s PhD is funded by UWE Bristol and supervised by Dr Judith Aston and Dr Elahe Karimnia.

Her interdisciplinary work builds on her master’s thesis (Istanbul Technical University) and continues to explore ethnographic methods in design research. Her studies draw on ethnographic methods, design anthropology, and polyphonic & co-creative documentary making.

Alongside her PhD, Rengin has been teaching as an associate lecturer at UWE Bristol’s Interior Architecture (BA) programme.
