Rob Eagle is a PhD researcher, employing virtual reality and immersive, interactive media to documentary stories of non-cisgender lives. Both the creation and the resulting interactive works will raise questions for how to tell stories that focus on complexities around embodiment and non-cisgender subjectivities. His PhD is AHRC-funded as part of the 3D3 Centre for Doctoral Training.
As a director/producer of film, audio and VR documentary, he has made hundreds of short documentaries over the past decade for broadcast TV and online platforms, most notably as an in-house film-maker in Communications at University College London. His photos and films have appeared across international media, including the New York Times, the Guardian, Al Jazeera and the BBC.
