Verity McIntosh

Verity is a producer, Senior Lecturer and researcher. She leads UWE Bristol’s pioneering master’s course in Virtual and Extended Reality which is an industry-led, practice-based programme offering students the opportunity to spend a year developing their craft as immersive storytellers. She is also a founding member of the Bristol VR Lab, and a resident at Watershed’s Pervasive Media Studio.

 

Verity works with talented teams and individuals to develop and realise their ideas on a global stage. She is an advocate for interdisciplinary storytelling that bridges physical and virtual worlds and argues for a more considered and inclusive approach to user experience design in XR. Current research interests include the ethics of presence, and the simulation of unsafe spaces in VR.
