Coming up this weekend – Bristol’s Spike Island – one of the UK’s largest contemporary art spaces – opens its doors for the annual Open Studios, offering a rare opportunity to go behind the scenes to visit over 70 artists’ studios, creative businesses, Spike Print Studio and UWE’s BA and MA Fine Art studios.
Join for the Friday preview or across the weekend to enjoy exhibitions, performances and workshops for all ages, as well as street-food vendors and bars across the building. UWE students’ events include fortune telling, screen printing, a Maypole performance and live DJ set celebrating Bristol’s drag scene. Friday night ends with the studio artists’ annual yard party fundraiser.
